Survived my first serious medical in the air...
We almost diverted to the USA, but managed to make it back to Toronto in record time where medical personnel was waiting for us. Now that I have one medical under my belt, I feel so much better prepared to handle any others that come my way. The key is communication! So thankful my training kicked in and I had a great crew yesterday!

I am the new size 36 vest model for Sunwing
I have to wear the new style of vest when I am working (during service) and make observations regarding what people say about it, how it looks/feels, etc. I’ll look odd being one of the few males wearing the new style of vests, but I am excited to see what comments I receive from passengers and other flight attendants! Also, I like it way more than the sweater vest they make us wear now!

Working my first red eye flight tonight...
I hope I don’t fall asleep! My flight doesn’t leave Toronto until almost midnight and I don’t return until noon tomorrow. It’ll be the longest flight I’ve done to date - going to Grenada! I am excited for the challenge (and for all of the passengers to sleep so I don’t have to do as much work)!

Best first day of a new job ever!!!
Some highlights from my first day flying as a flight attendant today:
Having an absolutely amazing crew (even with three new flight attendants);
Having my supervisor watch me brief people at the over wing exits and telling me I did a great job;
Making a generous tip on my first alcohol sale of the day;
Having a passenger ask for the email address of our boss so she can write a positive letter...
First flight tomorrow! Alarm is set for 3:00am...

Flight Bidding: A Game of Strategy
As a flight attendant, I get to bid for the flights that I want. I am currently bidding for my January schedule. There are approximately 400 pairings (all flights grouped together ranging anywhere from a few hours to multiple days with layovers) making the process incredibly difficult to decide what flights I would like to work. I've got myself a job as a flight attendant!

Yesterday the two cars behind me on the 401 hit...
It was the scariest driving experience I’ve ever had and was rattled all day by it! If it wasn’t for the driving lessons I did when I was younger, I would have been a part of the collision. Thankfully I had enough room in front of me to break and I was checking my mirrors.
